WunderCineMate — MCP server for TMDB

In short: WunderCineMate does not collect, store, or sell your personal data. It is a connector between your AI client (e.g. ChatGPT) and The Movie Database (TMDB). Any account you use belongs to and is managed solely by TMDB.
1. Who we are
WunderCineMate (the "Service") is operated by WunderBytes Kft ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in Hungary. WunderCineMate is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets AI clients such as ChatGPT search and browse film and television information from The Movie Database (TMDB), and — if you choose to sign in — act on your TMDB account (ratings, watchlist, favorites).

2. Our core principle: we don't hold your data
The Service is designed to be stateless with respect to your personal information. We do not operate user accounts, we do not build user profiles, and we do not sell, rent, or share any information about you with advertisers or data brokers.
All accounts, credentials, and personal profile data are held and managed solely by TMDB under its own privacy policy. When you sign in, you authenticate directly with TMDB — we never see your TMDB username or password.
3. What the Service does process
To function, the Service handles a small amount of technical data. None of it includes your name, email address, or TMDB password.

4. Third parties
TMDB
The Service relies on The Movie Database. When you use it, requests are sent to TMDB, and any account actions are performed against your TMDB account. Your use of TMDB is governed by TMDB's own privacy policy: https://www.themoviedb.org/privacy-policy.
This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Your AI client
You typically reach the Service through a third-party AI client (for example ChatGPT). Your interaction with that client is governed by that provider's own privacy policy, over which we have no control.
5. Cookies and tracking
The Service does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across websites. Authorization is handled with standard OAuth 2.1 bearer tokens exchanged between your AI client and the Service, not with tracking cookies.
6. How we protect data
All communication with the Service takes place over encrypted HTTPS connections. Authorization tokens are stored only for as long as they are valid and are deleted when they expire or when access is revoked. Because we hold no personal profiles, there is no user database to be exposed.
7. Your rights
Because your personal data lives with TMDB, requests to access, correct, export, or delete that data should be directed to TMDB via its privacy policy. You can end our access to your TMDB account at any time by disconnecting the app in your AI client or revoking the session in your TMDB account settings; the associated token is then deleted on our side.
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). To exercise any right against us, or to raise a concern, contact hello@wunderbytes.eu. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Children
The Service is not directed at children and we do not knowingly process data relating to children. Age eligibility for a TMDB account is governed by TMDB.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
